Leukemia Benefit

Sonic Weapon Fence is playing another show!? Yay! We're playing to support an auction to raise funds for the medical bills of one Jada LaDuke-Pfarr. She's the sister in-law of our drummer and one hell of a lady. You can find out more about what she's going through at Jada's Fight. She keeps a blog there too, which always manages to grant a bunch of awesome perspective, without making you feel like crap.

We will be playing at the World Famous Brat Stop in Kenosha, WI. $10 to get in the door, but that does get you brat, cheep beer, and access to the charity auction. There's some cool stuff up for auction too - including a year's supply of cheese (I can only imagine), inflatable pool rafts (and other nonsense) and signed sports memorabilia (Packers, Cubs, Brewers, etc.). The band is going to bring thunderous energy to the stage, rocking out for a good cause. More information about the event can be found at the Jada's Fight Website. We'll likely be hitting the stage at 11:30. Hope to see you there!

Not dead!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we're not dead, that we've got excellent new songs in the works about Jin, Gary, Ben, Keamy, Introductions, and more.  Recording is going swimmingly and we'll have new songs to put out soon.  Look for us in your city or myspace web browser window!

Aug 23 CANCLED!

That's right, it turns out that the show on the 23rd at U.S. Beer Co., like Dave, is all in Hurley's head and not real.  That means that the only time to see Sonic Weapon Fence this month is on August 2nd at Bill's Blues in Evanston.

August Shows

That's right, you're favorite LOST themed novelty band is playing LIVE shows in August, as listed above in our "Shows" section. What that friendly little box is not telling you is that both August shows are part of Big Time Entertainment showcases. Which means we'll be playing with a handful of other local acts. Running down the line-up, it looks like a pretty decent mix of stuff. No one looks quite as nerdy as we do, but that's a given

Both events are ticketed events - $8 tickets if you buy in advance and $10 at the door. We're going to try to have stickers, buttons and various other crap to give out at show, so no one has to leave empty-handed.

All three of us are crazy-excited to play live. We'll be doing your favorites from The Ocean Six EP as well as a few new tunes and a host of other surprises.

You can contact the group for tickets at sonicweaponfence@gmail.com

Namaste!

SWF

Season 5 and an album

In case anyone hasn't seen the new spot for Season 5, here it is:

Yeah, I guess it makes sense to use a Fray song that has the word "Lost" in it. It would probably really be hard to find a band that actually writes songs about the show.

I like seeing both Hurley and Juliet packin' heat in these clips. Man, stuff's gonna get nuts.

We've been recording leisurely for a while now, but we're going to kick it up into high gear with Band Camp '08 - a full weekend of non-stop recording (we will stop to sleep, eat, and probably play board games.) This will get us closer to our goal of having a full length record by the time the show starts back up - that's January 21 for those of you keeping score at home. The songs that we currently have down are sounding incredible - powerful and catchy, everything you'd want in an SWF song. Check back often for updates and downloads.

Namaste and good luck.
